The Ti-N Gold/Black version of the KMC X12 chain retains the performance technologies and low weight of the X12 Silver. The main difference between the two chains is the coating; this chain forgoes the nickel plated coating of the silver version for a more advanced gold titanium nitride coating. Titanium nitride is an extremely hard ceramic material that is applied as a thin coating that both hardens and protects the sliding surfaces of the chain, futher improving both performance and durability.
